The Dash - Health Hub is proud to be partnering with Tailoring Therapy to bring to you our Group Schema Therapy program!
What is Schema Focused Therapy (SFT)? Every single person on the planet has a similar set of core emotional needs. Sometimes those needs are not met and we develop “survival strategies” to cope. We easily get caught in “survival mode” which can prevent us from being able to thrive. As we grow we notice chronic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may cause us to struggle with important life-domains, such as how we relate to ourselves and others.
SFT helps us to understand the origins of our patterns, exploring how these may have once been vital for emotional or physical survival, but are now preventing us from thriving. Group SFT focuses on experiential, interpersonal work in order to help us “feel” and relate to ourselves and others in healthier ways, as well as learning to meet our core emotional needs in more adaptive ways.
